I woke up this morning with a sore throat. I don't think I'm very sick, but I think I'm coming down with something and being me, I feel the need to rest and take care of myself (lest this turn into bronchitis or pneumonia).
I started rewatching LotR again yesterday and I think today will be more of the same: camped out on the couch, knitting, drinking green jasmine tea and watching an elf and a dwarf become besties.
Rest is important. Taking care of the self is important. Sometimes that's hard to remember, but that's why I remind myself:
Be gentle. Be kind. Rest. Drink some tea and soak in the things you love, mindfully. Eat yummy food. Be warm. Snuggle with the ones you love. Take a bath. Do some gentle yoga, stretching the body.
Take time to see the beauty around you, everywhere.
