Tonight, Yom Kippur begins with Kol Nidre, the chanting of "all vows."

If I have offended or hurt you in any way, by my actions or my inactions, may you forgive me. May we all be forgiven our offenses. May our hurts diminish, year by year.

I am working on forgiving. This past year has been less intense in the "stupid things people did (to me)" department, but there is still work to be done. I am practicing not taking things personally. I am practicing. It is hard. But it is worth while.

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about."
