poeming on a tuesday

This Moment As it Passes

and the orange rust green of the chewed up leaves
and the sparkling silver crystals in the neckline of my shirt
and the bubbling effervescent sadness of a reggae cover by UB40
and the dregs of coffee swirling in my cup, long cold
and the heart that beats, the lungs that breathe, the synapses firing

Just a little poem today. A capturing of the moment here, as it passes.

UB40 gave way to Sting, which is good interesting randomizing, since the UB40 song was a cover of a Police song (Every Breath You Take).

The sun is out today and so I'm feeling better, less oppressed by the gray.

Don't forget: souling the self surreal starts next Monday!
