embracing contradiction

Sometimes I need to be reminded.

(And I remind myself. Or I look to find the reminders.)

Sometimes I remember before I need to be reminded.

(And still the reminders come, postcards from the edge of what is.)

Sometimes life is the reminder itself and there's no other remembering necessary:

I am a contradiction.

("Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes." - yes, dear Walt, Yes. Me, too.)
